My research interests center around idea of scapegoating. Rene Girard once posed a very interesting question namely “What is our relationship to a scapegoat?” People often believe that they have legitimate enemies, but as too often can be observed our world swarms with scapegoats. I would like to explore why is it that humans tend to seek or even need scapegoats especially under conditions of threat or uncertainty.
I am also interested in terror management theory, system justification theory, superstitious behaviors, magical thinking, religion, creativity, representational art as well as classical Greek and Roman literature.
My hobbies include representational drawing and painting and horseback riding.
